Great article! My daughter was accepted at all three, HYP, and chose Harvard.
I made sure she balanced difficult courses so that she maintained a very high GPA, had time to prepare for the AP exams (she got 5 on all of them), and had time to devote to perfecting her sport.
I've seen many bright kids take too many AP courses and their GPA suffers, their AP exam results suffer, and their commitment to a passion outside of school suffers.

I am an advocate for nontraditional students, who are going back to school after a break. These tips can help for many kinds of tests and exams. Ms. Watts has a neat suggestion too about the gum!

Answering questions you can is also a good idea, and leaving more difficult ones for later can help. The sleep advice is great. Thanks for this useful posting.

Honestly i am currently debating this topic. I graduated from a four year school. I got a good job and decided i need a Graduate degree. I do not have the time, energy nor do i feel like spending all my money on going to a standard institution. I am going to the online graduate program out of convenience. The fact of the matter is i am close to 30 and have a job, my degree needs to work around that not the other way around.
